Layered Nanoporous Platforms for SERS Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Here, we present a detailed investigation of the SERS performance of layered nanoporous metals. The controlled deposition of well‐defined, stacked porous layers enabled a systematic analysis of the effects of multimetallic systems in SERS experiments. Numerical models are also used to support the experimental findings.

Surface‐Ligand‐Dependent Excited‐State Dynamics in Aqueous CuInSe2/ZnS Quantum Dot–Chlorophyll Assemblies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
CuInSe2/ZnS quantum dots are synthesized in water and coupled with chlorophyll to probe ligand‐controlled excited‐state interactions. Broad visible–NIR emission and high PLQY are observed. Time‐resolved measurements reveal shortened chlorophyll lifetimes, indicating dynamic quenching via Förster energy and/or charge transfer, highlighting surface ...

Stabilizing Electrochemical Interfaces With Multifunctional Cobalt Nitride Layers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Cobalt nitrides emerged recently as an interesting class of earth‐abundant oxygen evolution catalysts. Herein, plasma‐enhanced atomic layer deposition is used to synthesize multifunctional cobalt nitride layers that simultaneously protect and catalytically activate photoelectrode surfaces.

Advances in Halide Perovskites for Photon Radiation Detectors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work highlights recent progress in perovskite‐based photon radiation detectors, covering organic–inorganic hybrid, inorganic, lead‐free double, and vacancy‐ordered halide perovskites. Their detection performance is compared, material‐specific advantages and challenges are examined, and provides insight into current limitations and future ...

Advanced Design for Weakly Coupled Resonators by Automatic Active Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
An Automatic Active Optimization (AAO) strategy integrates machine learning predictors and genetic algorithms in a closed‐loop workflow. By iteratively expanding its dataset with new discoveries, AAO overcomes the limits of conventional methods. This approach finds superior microstructural designs beyond the initial sample space. We demonstrate this on

Bursting Behavior in the System of Coupled Oscillators with Delay and its Statistical Analysis

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2015
The statistical analysis of random quantities derived from the dynamics of interaction of a pair of neuron-type oscillators are presented. It is shown that computation of some statistical characteristics of the process allows, with enough precision, to ...

Clock-Talk: Interactions between Central and Peripheral Circadian Oscillators in Mammals.

open access: yesCold Spring Harbor Symposia on Quantitative Biology, 2015
In mammals, including humans, nearly all physiological processes are subject to daily oscillations that are governed by a circadian timing system with a complex hierarchical structure.
