Particle Coherent Structures in Confined Oscillatory Switching Centrifugation
A small spherical rigid particle in a cylindrical cavity is considered. The harmonic rotation of the cavity wall drives the background flow characterized by the Strouhal number Str, assumed as the first parameter of our investigation.

Controlling fluidic oscillator flow dynamics by elastic structure vibration
In this study, we introduce a design of a feedback-type fluidic oscillator with elastic structures surrounding its feedback channel. By employing phase reduction theory, we extract the phase sensitivity function of the complex fluid–structure coupled ...

Mixing driven by transient buoyancy flows.II. Flow dynamics
The chaotic advection of the interface between two miscible liquids inside a closed cavity, generated by a damped oscillatory buoyancy-driven (BD) regular flow field, is investigated experimentally for BD mixing.

Influence of Mixing Intensity on Lysozyme Crystallization in a Meso Oscillatory Flow Reactor [PDF]
The influence of mixing intensity on protein crystallization has been investigated for the first time in a meso oscillatory flow reactor (meso-OFR). For this, lysozyme crystallization was studied in batch at different oscillation amplitudes and frequencies.

The functionalization of carbon nanotubes using a batch oscillatory flow reactor [PDF]
This paper describes an efficient method for the functionalizing of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) using oscillatory flow mixing (OFM). A 3. l batch oscillatory flow reactor (OFR) was designed and constructed for pilot scale functionalization of ...
