Oscillatory Motion of a Camphor Object on a Surfactant Solution.

Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2021
The mode bifurcation between oscillatory motion and no motion of a camphor object floating on surfactant aqueous solution was investigated. The camphor and surfactant were used as the sources of driving and suppressing forces, respectively.

Oscillatory solutions of fractional integro‐differential equations

Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2020
We give necessary conditions to get oscillatory solutions of a class of fractional order neutral differential equations with continuously distributed delay by means of the fractional derivative with respect to a given function. In particular, oscillatory solutions of the considered fractional equations with Caputo and Hadamard type of fractional ...

Effect of oscillatory shear on polymer solutions

Physical Review E, 2002
We consider the effects of oscillatory shear flow on small concentration fluctuations in polymer solutions, which we model as highly asymmetric entangled polymer blends. A simple model that enables us to predict the scattering patterns in the flow-vorticity plane is presented.

Oscillatory Hydrogen Solution in ZrV2

physica status solidi (b), 1999
The effect of the solution of small amounts of hydrogen on the structure and structural phase transformation of the intermetallic compound ZrV 2 was studied using X-ray analysis and differential calorimetry. Additional maximum sattelites appeared in X-ray diffractograms after cooling of the hydrogen containing intermetallic ZrV 2 below T = 150 to 160 ...

The numerical solution of oscillatory problems

International Journal of Computer Mathematics, 1990
In this paper the authors develop some new formulae for the numerical solution of initial value problems whose solutions are known to be periodic.

Oscillatory solutions of the Falkner-Skan equation

Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. A. Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1985
The Falkner-Skan equation for similarity solutions of the Prandtl boundary-layer equations for incompressible flow is analysed for both positive and negative values of the parameterβ. Forβ< — 1 branches of solutions with any number of intervals of overshoot are found analytically, and confirm recent numerical results.

Oscillatory solutions of the rate equations

Physics Letters A, 1968
Abstract It is shown that the rate equations for a system relaxing to black body radiation have no oscillatory solutions. A more convenient form of the equations for numerical calculation is given.

Oscillatory Solutions of Boundary Value Problems

2016
We consider boundary value problems of the form $$\displaystyle\begin{array}{rcl} & x'' = f(t,x,x'), & {}\\ & x(a) = A,\quad x(b) = B,& {}\\ \end{array}$$ assuming that f is continuous together with f x and fx′. We study also equations in a quasi-linear form $$\displaystyle{x'' + p(t)x' + q(t)x = F(t,x,x').}$$ Introducing types of ...
