Delay Difference Equations: Coexistence of Oscillatory and Nonoscillatory Solutions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The aim of this work is to study the coexistence of oscillatory and nonoscillatory solutions of a certain scalar delay difference equation. © 2013, by Walter de Gruyter Berlin Boston.

Existence of oscillatory solutions in longitudinal flight dynamics

open access: yes, 2010
By means of coincidence degree theory and Mawhin's continuation theorem, a theoretical proof is given for the existence of oscillatory solutions of the simplified dynamical system which governs the motion around the center of mass in a longitudinal ...

Experimental and Numerical Modal Analysis of Composite Sandwich Structures Using Surfboards as Model Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents an experimental and numerical modal investigation of composite sandwich structures using surfboards as model systems. By comparing different core materials and reinforcement strategies, the study demonstrates how local stiffeners influence vibrational response and introduce characteristic modal features, highlighting modal ...

Additive Manufacturing of Alumina‐Reinforced Elastomers

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Vat‐photopolymerized elastomers reinforced with platelet‐shaped alumina exhibited preferential orientation, reduced porosity, and significantly enhanced mechanical performance. A 3 wt% platelet loading increased tensile strength from 12.4 to 45.7 MPa, highlighting the critical role of filler morphology in elastomeric VPP composites.

Oscillatory and nonoscillatory solutions of neutral differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Neutral differential equations are studied. Sufficient conditions are obtained to have oscillatory solutions or nonoscillatory solutions.

On the Existence of Slow Solutions for Highly Oscillatory Problems

open access: yesAdvances in Applied Mathematics, 1993
The existence of a slow solution for the system \[ \varepsilon y' = \bigl[ A(t) + \varepsilon C(y,v,t) \bigr] y + f(v,t),\;v' = h(y,v,t),\;y(0) = y_ 0,\;v(0) = v_ 0, \tag{1} \] is studied, where \(A(t)\), \(C(y,v,t)\), \(f(v,t)\) and \(h(y,v,t)\) are bounded \(C^ \infty\) functions.

Uniform Amorphization of Crystalline Silicon Surfaces Enabled by Deep Ultraviolet Femtosecond Laser Pulses

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Deep‐UV (258 nm) femtosecond pulses enable uniform amorphous silicon writing on Si(100)/(111) with a six‐fold larger fluence amorphization window than NIR methods. Optimized fluence and overlap yield 20–45 nm uniform and continuous amorphous layers. Microscopy shows sharp interfaces, and real‐time reflectivity reveals nanosecond melt–resolidification ...

On the behaviour of the oscillatory solutions of second-order linear unstable type delay differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Second-order linear (non-autonomous as well as autonomous) delay differential equations of unstable type are considered. In the non-autonomous case, sufficient conditions are given in order that all oscillatory solutions are bounded or all oscillatory ...
