Wavelet frequency spectrum analysis of oscillograms

The Analyst, 1999
By combining wavelet transform with frequency spectrum analysis, wavelet frequency spectrum analysis of an oscillogram was achieved, based on the wavelet property of extracting useful information. Compared with Fourier frequency spectrum analysis of an oscillogram, this method presents many advantages.

Interpretation of the Speech Oscillogram

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1966
Due to the dynamic nature of sound, it is difficult to observe speech characteristics quantitatively by ear and make precise reproducible measurements unless of a rather coarse nature. However, we can stop the motion and obtain static measurable elements by taking pictures of the sound waves.

Analysis of Short-Circuit Oscillograms

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1941
METHODS of analyzing the oscillograms of short circuit currents of synchronous machines, in accordance with the two reaction theory, are presented in this paper. Differences between the results found here and the more generally accepted equations, based on symmetrical components, are pointed out.

Breaker performance studied by cathode ray oscillograms

Electrical Engineering, 1935
Analyses of cathode ray oscillograms of circuit interruptions reveal characteristics of the circuits that are significant in the study of circuit breaker performance. While a complete analysis of such an oscillogram involves much detailed work, the study of several typical oscillograms reveals the significance of certain types of voltage variations and

Photoelectric Comparator for Measuring Oscillograms

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1954
A device for measuring photographic oscillogram coordinates is described. By means of a photoelectric balancing technique the instrument allows the locating of the ``middle'' of a photographic line with an error of the order of a few microns. The ``middle'' of a line is defined by the instrument as being the point of equal transmission, which is the ...

Measuring air flows with recording on an oscillogram

Measurement Techniques, 1974
1. Recording of air (gas) flow measurements by means of an oscillograph provides higher precision than visual reading and accelerates the testing process. 2. In servicing complicated systems with a large number of instruments, the above method is more economical and simple. 3.

Large Picture Projection of Oscillograms

1965
The surface area of the fluorescent screen of the normal 10 cm or 13 cm diameter cathode ray tubes, is adequate for the saticfactory display of all ordinary oscillograms; indeed it is for this reason that the 10 cm and 13 cm dimensions have been selected and more or less standardized. Even fine details can be observed at normal reading distance without

A Mechanical Harmonic Analyzer for Cathode Ray Oscillograms

Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1927
A mechanical harmonic analyzer is described which will analyze oscillograms obtained from the cathode ray oscillograph when the reference field is sinusoidal. The instrument is adjustable to take care of oscillograms of various sizes. The analyzer can be used also for curves plotted on a uniform base.
