Oscillopsia in Congenital Nystagmus
1990Spontaneous reports of oscillopsia in congenital nystagmus (CN) are rare. We have recorded a patient with CN in whom oscillopsia was suppressed by visual sampling during foveation periods of more than 100 m/sec with an average drift velocity of less than 4°/s.

The High-Frequency Oscillopsia Test1
Journal of Vestibular Research, 1992There is a need to develop bedside tests of the vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) that could be used in the clinical situation to screen patients who may be candidates for further evaluation. In 1984 Barber described the oscillopsia test, which compared visual acuity with and without head movement.

[Oscillopsia in multiple sclerosis].
Neurologia i neurochirurgia polska, 1979In a 20-year-old woman one of the presenting signs of multiple sclerosis was recurrent oscillopsia. Fixation of eyes while reading released during upward and downward gaze oscillopsia with variable amplitude and frequency. Electronystagmographic investigation failed to reveal signs of damage to the vestibular organ or vestibulo-oculomotor pathways. The

Oscillopsia in “Inverse Latent” Infantile Nystagmus Syndrome
Optometry and Vision Science, 2007A possibly unique individual with infantile nystagmus syndrome presented with incessant oscillopsia but good stereopsis when viewing binocularly; her nystagmus was greatly reduced with left eye occlusion. We have attempted to explain this and to identify an intervention that preserves binocular vision while maximizing perceptual stability.Eye movements

Oscillopsia and Vertical Eye Movements in Tullio's Phenomenon
Archives of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 1995Pure tones stimulated oscillopsia in a 30-year-old man with bilateral hearing loss and Tullio's phenomenon. The subject's eye movements were recorded with electro-oculography while he was seated with his head stabilized facing a visual array. Pure tones were given in each ear, individually, from 500 to 2000 Hz, 90 to 110 dB.

Oscillopsia in patients with loss of vestibular function
Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, 1993Contrary to standard teaching, many patients with bilateral vestibular loss clearly deny oscillopsia or imbalance in darkness. In an attempt to characterize these patients within the larger population of all patients with bilateral vestibular loss, the rotation and posturography test results of 22 patients with bilateral vestibular loss were reviewed ...

Bilateral vestibular loss and oscillopsia.
The Journal of otolaryngology, 1989The electronystagmographic (ENG) records of 5,499 patients were reviewed so as to note the level of caloric activity. Bilateral caloric reduction or loss was found in only 1.6%. Although no diagnosis could be made with a high degree of confidence in the majority of patients, bilateral Ménière's disease and exposure to ototoxic drugs were identified ...

The mechanism of oscillopsia and its suppression
Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 2011We studied the mechanisms of oscillopsia suppression in subjects with infantile nystagmus syndrome, fusion maldevelopment nystagmus syndrome, and acquired nystagmus (AN). Hypothetical possibilities for perceptual stability were the following: (1) epochs of clear and stable vision during foveation periods of nystagmus waveforms; (2) cancellation by ...
