OSPF Extensions for Segment Routing

Request for Comments, 2019
Segment Routing (SR) allows a flexible definition of end-to-end paths within IGP topologies by encoding paths as sequences of topological sub-paths, called "segments". These segments are advertised by the link-state routing protocols (IS-IS and OSPF). This draft describes the OSPFv3 extensions required for Segment Routing with MPLS data plane.

Routing Algorithm for AD Hoc Networks of LEO Satellites based on OSPF

2023 3rd International Symposium on Computer Technology and Information Science (ISCTIS), 2023
The static routing protocol is difficult to apply in the Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellite network due to the large number of satellites, dense nodes in the same orbit plane and fast satellite motion speed.

RIP and OSPF Routing Protocol Analysis on Defined Network Software

Asia Pacific Symposium on Intelligent and Evolutionary Systems, 2022
In building a network, routing technology is needed to connect between networks. Software-Defined Network (SDN) is a network paradigm where the control plane is separate from the data plane, making it easier for us to configure on the control plane side,

Performance analysis of OSPF in integrated satellite and terrestrial network

International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications, 2022
In the past few years, considerable attention has been paid to integrated satellite and terrestrial networks. Among all the related research, routing algorithms have attracted extensive interest.

Evaluating OSPF Convergence with ns-3 DCE

Workshop on ns-3, 2022
OSPF routers flood link-state packets to distribute the network topology. When a link fails, the attached routers flood an updated link-state packet. These packets trigger updates to the forwarding tables of potentially all routers inside the network ...

Evaluating the Fast Rerouting with MPLS Networks as a Fault Tolerance Mechanism with OSPF and IS-IS routing protocols

2022 IEEE 2nd International Maghreb Meeting of the Conference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (MI-STA), 2022
In this paper an analysis study is carried out by GNS3 as a modeling and simulation environment with a Wireshark tool to investigate the reactions taken inside MPLS networks such as path reestablishment and timing (network convergence) of fail ...

A comparison study of single area OSPF Network to multiple area OSPF Network implementation in a Campus area Network.

International Conference on Computing Communication and Networking Technologies, 2022
One of the essential elements for all higher educational institutions is a strong campus network. Higher education's campus network today has a hierarchical enterprise campus architecture and is of the highest calibre.
