Quantification of the Titanium Dissolution of Dental Implants During a New Explantation Technique

The application of a high frequency current to a titanium dental implant reverses osseointegration. This study investigates the influences of this treatment to the corrosion of an implant. Surface characterization via white light interferometry and cyclic polarization confirmed surface roughening during the process.
