A Roadmap to Holographic Focused Ultrasound Approaches for Generating Gradient Thermal Patterns

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Biomedical Engineering, Volume 41, Issue 6, June 2025.
This study introduces a comprehensive roadmap for acousto‐thermal computational modeling approaches in the design of acoustic holographic lenses (AHLs) for therapeutic applications. Pressure‐based, temperature‐based, and machine‐learning techniques are compared using four different shape groups for the imposed target pattern.

Pamidronate‐Induced Clinical Remission in Chronic Non‐bacterial Osteomyelitis Is Associated with Reduced Vγ9Vδ2 T‐Cell Receptor Expression

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 55, Issue 4, April 2025.
In children with chronic non‐bacterial osteomyelitis, clinical and transcriptional changes in peripheral blood were examined after pamidronate treatment. Clinically effective treatment with pamidronate was associated with reduced expression of two genes (TRDV2 and TRGV9) that encode the subunits of the Vγ9Vδ2 T‐cell receptor.

Reporting Bone Cytopathology—A Proposal Based on a Single Tertiary Centre Experience

open access: yesCytopathology, Volume 36, Issue 2, Page 123-139, March 2025.
Fine‐needle aspiration cytology is a reliable tool for diagnosing bone lesions, with high sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy across various tumour types. This study provides valuable insights for developing a standardised reporting system for bone cytopathology, aiming to improve diagnostic precision and patient management.
