Engineered surface strategies to manage dental implant‐related infections
Abstract When exposed to the oral environment, dental implants, like natural surfaces, become substrates for microbial adhesion and accumulation, often leading to implant‐related infections—one of the main causes of implant failure. These failures impose significant costs on patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems.

Bone biology in aging periodontal and peri‐implant tissues
Abstract Background Periodontal disease is an age‐related chronic inflammatory condition leading to tooth loss. Dental implants are an option for replacement of lost teeth in older adults. A 69‐year‐old woman had a trauma‐free proximal humerus pathological fracture due to MZL. RSA was performed, followed by systemic therapy. At 15 months, function was excellent with no recurrence. RSA is superior for cuff‐insufficient oncologic reconstruction. Multidisciplinary care optimizes outcomes.
