Se utilizó un arte no tradicional, que consistió en camas de red semi-rígida con un margo de tubería ABS rellena de espuma plástica, para el cultivo de ostión japonés Crassostrea gigas a partir de semilla de 3.0 mm de longitud. El arte de cultivo se probó en tres sitios distintos, dos en la parte interna de Bahía San Quintín y otro en I sla San Martín.
