Menstrual Wellbeing of Professional Workers: A Work Demands‐Resources Perspective

open access: yesHuman Resource Management Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Menstrual symptoms compromise the menstrual wellbeing of more than a quarter of the global workforce. However, to the best of our knowledge, the human resource management (HRM) literature, as well as the HR policy and practice, is almost silent on employee menstrual wellbeing.

Toxicity of Ochratoxin A and Its Modulation by Antioxidants: A Review

open access: yesToxins, 2013
Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a mycotoxin involved in the development of different types of cancers in rats, mice and humans. A growing number of in vitro and in vivo studies has been collected and has described evidence compatible with a role for oxidative ...

Djelovanje okratoksina A na proteinske karbonile u bubregu i jetri štakora [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The mechanism of ochratoxin A (OTA) toxicity has been found to involve the production of free radicals and consequent oxidative stress. Until now, the only studied pathway of OTA-caused oxidative damage was peroxidation of lipids.

State‐and‐transition models as a contextual framework for leading indicators of restoration trajectories

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, EarlyView.
Abstract New incentives and instruments for financing ecosystem restoration require frameworks that support planning, monitoring and reporting, including the identification and use of leading indicators. Leading indicators have the potential to predict the outcomes of restoration interventions before full recovery has occurred.

Estimating spatiotemporal reproductive dynamics of fish populations with passive acoustic monitoring: A state‐space model approach

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, EarlyView.
Abstract Passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) has been used to estimate the presence and spatial distribution of target organisms using biological sounds received by microphones. Due to its cost‐effectiveness and non‐invasiveness, PAM is becoming a promising approach for studying the spatiotemporal dynamics of large groups in response to environmental ...

Effect of pH, water activity and temperature on the growth and accumulation of ochratoxin A produced by three strains of Aspergillus carbonarius isolated from Italian vineyards

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2010
Aspergillus carbonarius colonizes grapes and its derived products and produces ochratoxin A (OTA). In previous studies we screened 107 strains of A. carbonarius isolated from grapes for production of OTA, and we selected three high OTA-producing strains ...
