Dual Acid Responses of Stable Luminescent Diphenylpyridylmethyl Radicals With Additional Pyridyl Groups

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
To expand the acid‐responsive behavior of diphenylpyridylmethyl stable luminescent radicals, additional pyridyl groups were introduced. Dual acid responsiveness was observed, involving both the newly incorporated pyridyl groups and the PyBTM moieties.

A Low-PAPR Pilot Design and Optimization for OTFS Modulation

open access: yesICC 2025 - IEEE International Conference on Communications
Orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) modulation has been proposed recently as a new waveform in the context of doubly-selective multi-path channels. This article proposes a novel pilot design that improves OTFS spectral efficiency (SE) while reducing its peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR).

The Role of Iron‐Hyponitrite Intermediates in Biology and Insights From Synthetic Model Complexes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Despite the difference in active site architecture, NO reduction by different NOR enzymes is expected to be linked by a common intermediate: hyponitrite (N2O22−). However, experimentally, very little is known about the coordination chemistry of iron with hyponitrite and the expected Fe‐hyponitrite intermediates.

Coordinative‐Guest‐Triggered Dimensional Crossover in a Metal–Organic Framework With Rigid Metal–Oxo Rods

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We report a reversible structural phase transition in a metal–organic framework (MOF) triggered by the exchange of coordinative guest molecules. This MOF consists of rigid 1D Pb–O rods as building units, forming a 3D framework with 1D pores. Guest exchange induces pronounced changes in both the Pb–O rod structure and the dimensionality of the framework.

Nitrooxylation in Organic Synthesis: From Classical Nitrate Ester Formation to Modern Catalytic Strategies

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Nitrooxylation—the installation of nitrate esters (–ONO2) has evolved from classical mixed‐acid protocols to catalytic and mechano‐, flow‐, photo‐, and electrochemical strategies. This review delineates ionic and radical manifolds for C–ONO2 bond formation, emphasizing mechanistic control, selected substrate scope, and selectivity.

Sparse-Recovery-Based Channel Estimation in Orthogonal Time-Frequency Space Modulation for High-Mobility Scenarios in 5G and Beyond

open access: yesJournal of Communications Software and Systems
Orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) modulation is a breakthrough waveform that significantly outperforms conventional modulation schemes in high-mobility scenarios. Unlike traditional approaches that operate in the time-frequency domain, OTFS exploits

Low‐Temperature in Situ Upgrading of Ultra‐Deep Heavy Oil Using Ni–Ce/MOF–OTf Superacid Catalysts to Enhance Energy Utilization and Sustainability

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
A triflate‐functionalized Ni–Ce/MOF–OTf superacid enables low‐temperature (∼140°C) in situ upgrading of ultra‐deep heavy oil. It reduces viscosity by 92.11% in 12 h, maintains activity over cycles, and delivers 90.25% recovery with a lower carbon footprint by selective bond cleavage. ABSTRACT Ultra‐deep heavy oil is an important unconventional resource,

A New Micro-Subcarrier OFDM-Based Waveform for Delay Doppler Domain Communication

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper presents a new OFDM based modulation scheme for communication in doubly dispersive channels. We call this Delay-Doppler OFDM (DD-OFDM). Our waveform has the same sparse-channel benefits as orthogonal-time-frequency-space (OTFS) modulation ...
