Recovery Following Recurrent Fires Across Mediterranean Ecosystems. [PDF]
Mediterranean ecosystems worldwide are frequently affected by fires. Focusing on areas that burned two times over the past 22 years, we study the post‐fire dynamics, applying a statistical model to the time‐series of a remotely sensed proxy for vegetation cover.

A New Approach to OTH Main Parameters Determination [PDF]
In this work, we propose a method based on a simulation that incorporates several models to provide the set of parameters needed on Over-The-Horizon radars (OTHR) performance evaluation, which consists in a versatile software tool.

Quantifying Errors in the Midpoint Transform Applied to Oblique Ionograms
Abstract It is important to specify the state of the ionosphere for Over‐the‐Horizon communications and surveillance. Both vertical and oblique ionograms provide valuable data to this end. Oblique ionograms can probe the ionosphere in locations where it would be impractical to build a vertical ionosonde, but their measurements are not straightforward ...

ABSTRACT Arizona, located in the Desert Southwest of the U.S., faces chronic water scarcity and has been strongly affected by the multidecadal Millennium Drought. As the state increasingly turns to water augmentation strategies, accurate, high‐resolution estimates of water balance components are essenctial.

The First Results of Ionospheric Skywave Propagation Experiment Over Taiwan
Abstract An ionospheric over‐the‐horizon propagation experiment was carried out in Taiwan to investigate characteristics of ionospheric F layer skywave propagation at frequencies 4–12 MHz. Experimental results show that there are prominent diurnal variations in the incident angle, virtual height and plasma frequency at reflection height, which are ...

Time Synchronisation for Passive Bistatic HFSWR via Kalman‐Filtered Delay‐Locked Loop
This paper proposes a per‐chirp time synchronisation method, FLOS‐Kalman‐DLL, for passive bistatic high‐frequency surface wave radar (HFSWR) operating under the coexistence of clock drift and atmospheric impulsive noise. The method combines fractional lower‐order statistics with a Kalman‐filtered delay‐locked loop to achieve sub‐sample synchronisation ...

Decoding Brain Tumors: Comprehensive Insights into Detection and Evaluation Approaches
Comparison of brain tumor analysis techniques reveals that hybrid and ensemble models offer superior accuracy and generalization, while traditional ML provides higher interpretability and lower computational cost. This radar chart highlights the trade‐offs across five critical performance dimensions.
