Individuation, Categorization, and the Other-Race Effect in Face Recognition.
Social-cognitive models propose that the other-race effect in face recognition is caused by different motivational tendencies when processing own- and other-race faces. More specifically, we tend to individuate own-race faces which facilitates face recognition, but racially categorize other-race faces which inhibits face recognition.

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.
