Strong Violations of Bell-type Inequalities for Path-Entangled Number States [PDF]
We show that nonlocal correlation experiments on the two spatially separated modes of a maximally path-entangled number state may be performed and lead to a violation of a Clauser-Horne Bell inequality for any finite photon number N.

Navigating policy dilemmas in fuel-subsidy reductions: learning from Indonesia’s experiences
Fuel subsidies are policy instruments that have historically been used to assist the poor in affording energy for essential household activities. The subventions have, however, been the subject of considerable criticism that they in practice exacerbate ...

Ventanillas de Salud (VDS) and Mobile Health Units (MHU): A binational collaborative models
Over the years, the Mexican population in the United States has faced high prevalence of health-related inequalities and disadvantages and represents one of the most vulnerable migrant groups in the country. To help reduce the gaps in health care for the

Testing temporal Bell inequalities through repeated measurements in rf-SQUIDs [PDF]
Temporal Bell-like inequalities are derived taking into account the influence of the measurement apparatus on the observed magnetic flux in a rf-SQUID.

Bell inequalities for arbitrarily high dimensional systems [PDF]
We develop a novel approach to Bell inequalities based on a constraint that the correlations exhibited by local realistic theories must satisfy. This is used to construct a family of Bell inequalities for bipartite quantum systems of arbitrarily high ...

Proposed experiment to test the bounds of quantum correlations [PDF]
Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt inequality can give values between the classical bound, 2, and Tsirelson's bound, 2 \sqrt 2. However, for a given set of local observables, there are values in this range which no quantum state can attain.

Othering broadly refers to various constructed notions of (non-)belonging and difference that engender marginality and structural inequality. Social-psychological approaches that conceive ingroup and outgroup formations as an interaction between ...

Time evolution of entanglement for holographic steady state formation [PDF]
Within gauge/gravity duality, we consider the local quench-like time evolution obtained by joining two 1+1-dimensional heat baths at different temperatures at time t=0. A steady state forms and expands in space.

Gray Racialization of White Immigrants: The Polish Worker in Norway
The literature on racialization has typically focused on the situation of people of color in the Western world. In this article, we explore the analytical value of extending the concept of racialization to analyze symbolic boundaries that rely on and ...

Tripartite entanglement from interlinked $\chi^{(2)}$ parametric interactions [PDF]
We examine the tripartite entanglement properties of an optical system using interlinked $\chi^{(2)}$ interactions, recently studied experimentally in terms of its phase-matching properties by Bondani et al [M. Bondani, A. Allevi, E. Gevinti, A. Agliati,
