Effect of Frequency Monitoring System for Over-The-Horizon Radar due to the presence of patches and arcs within the polar cap ionosphere

open access: yes, 2020
High frequency Over-the-Horizon Radar (OTHR)provides an economical means to track non-cooperative airtargets over large expanses of land and ocean.

Seascape Connectivity Shapes Genetic and Species β‐Diversity in Tropical Reef Fishes

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Our study combines species occurrence data from five reef fish families with genomic SNP data for 19 species. A correlation between genetic and species β‐diversity emerges only in the Western Indian Ocean, where higher genetic β‐diversity and significant isolation by distance at both the population and community levels are detected.

A New Approach to OTH Main Parameters Determination [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2019
In this work, we propose a method based on a simulation that incorporates several models to provide the set of parameters needed on Over-The-Horizon radars (OTHR) performance evaluation, which consists in a versatile software tool.

Cassava Endophytic Bacteriome as Potential Biocontrol Agents Against Three Crop Phytopathogenic Fungi

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 15, Issue 2, April 2026.
Eighty‐four endophytic bacteria from cassava were assessed for antagonistic activity against phytopathogens Colletotrichum siamense, Colletotrichum sublineola and Phytophthora infestans infecting cassava, sorghum and potato, respectively. Fourteen endophytic bacteria exhibited antifungal activity against the three phytopathogens, of which four ...

Simultaneous operation of two over-the-horizon radars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
—By exploiting the reflective and refractive nature of high-frequency (HF) radiowave propagation through the iono-sphere or the conducting sea surface, over-the-horizon radar (OTHR) systems perform wide-area surveillance at long range well beyond the ...

Pandemic‐induced changes in food acquisitions: Implications for child diet quality in the United States

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, Volume 108, Issue 1, Page 363-382, January 2026.
Abstract We estimate how the COVID‐19 pandemic altered school‐aged children's diet quality from March 2020 to July 2022 through the lens of food acquisitions. Because nationally representative food‐consumption data are absent during this time, we use several data sources to predict changes in diet quality. We first estimate a model of diet quality as a

ENSO‐Driven Variability in Ozone Sources and Its Impact on Tropospheric Ozone Radiative Forcing

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 15, 16 August 2025.
Abstract Ozone is the third strongest anthropogenic greenhouse gas with highest radiative efficiency in the tropical upper troposphere. Variability driven by El Niño‐Southern Oscillation (ENSO) modulates tropospheric column ozone instantaneous radiative forcing (TCO‐IRF) through changes in atmospheric dynamics, natural emissions, and stratospheric ...

An Efficient Multi-Path Multitarget Tracking Algorithm for Over-The-Horizon Radar

open access: yesSensors, 2019
In target tracking environments using over-the-horizon radar (OTHR), one target may generate multiple detections through different signal propagation paths.
