Envisioning Liberal Internationalism: Mapping and the League of Nations' Geographical Department
ABSTRACT This paper argues that mapping was a foundational technology through which the idea of liberal internationalism was actively produced. Focusing on the League of Nations' Geographical Department, we show how a new sphere of international challenges was constituted where none had previously existed or been widely agreed upon.

Coerced Voluntariness: Parliamentary Narratives on Return Migration in Germany and Turkey
ABSTRACT International frameworks treat return migration as either voluntary or forced. This article challenges that binary through a computational corpus analysis of two entangled parliaments: 4597 German Bundestag protocols (1949 to 2025, migration analysis from 1970) and 966 Turkish Grand National Assembly protocols (since 2011).
