Model‐based fault diagnosis and fault tolerant control in safety‐critical chemical reactors: An experimental study

open access: yesAIChE Journal, Volume 72, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract This study investigates a fault‐tolerant control (FTC) approach for continuous stirred‐tank reactors (CSTR), emphasizing the importance of timely interventions to ensure operational safety under fault conditions. A systematic methodology combining residual‐based fault estimation and Dynamic Safety Margin (DSM) monitoring is developed to guide ...

Defect Passivation via Plasma Modification of Lead Halide Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, Volume 34, Issue 7, Page 813-820, July 2026.
We demonstrate that exposure of perovskite thin films to diffuse coplanar surface barrier discharge nitrogen plasma leads to an increase in photoluminescence, attributed to reduced defect densities. This results in implied open‐circuit voltage improvement of up to 80 mV and finalized solar cell open‐circuit gains up to 60 mV.

Early Identification of DLD in Paediatric Practice: A Pilot Validation of the CLAP Screening Tool in Italian Outpatient Settings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Language &Communication Disorders, Volume 61, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Language development in early childhood varies considerably, making early detection of Developmental Language Disorders (DLDs) challenging despite their high prevalence and long‐term effects on learning and mental health. In Italy, no culturally adapted, easy‐to‐use screening tools are currently available in primary care. To address
