Deze masterproef onderzoekt de problematiek van de wachtlijsten in de ouderenzorg. Hoeveel wachtenden er exact zijn weten we niet. Enkel schattingen geven een inzicht in dit aantal. Om een idee te krijgen van het aanbodtekort in de ouderenzorg wordt het bestaande aanbod vergeleken met de overeenkomstige programmacijfers.

Dé oudere bestaat niet en de diversiteit in het aanbod van zorg en ondersteuning is enorm waardoor de ouderenzorg eveneens niet bestaat. Bovendien impliceert samenhang, samenwerking. Samenwerken door verschillende zorgen ondersteuningsprofessionals werkzaam in verschillende organisaties op het terreinvan wonen, zorg en welzijn.
