Fault Detection and Classification for Photovoltaic Panel System Using Machine Learning Techniques

open access: yesApplied AI Letters, Volume 6, Issue 2, April 2025.
ABSTRACT The deployment of solar photovoltaic (PV) panel systems, as renewable energy sources, has seen a rise recently. Consequently, it is imperative to implement efficient methods for the accurate detection and diagnosis of PV system faults to prevent unexpected power disruptions.

Outage probability of multiuser cognitive MIMO system

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2009
To analyze the multi-antenna gain in multiuser cognitive radio system, a multiuser cognitive MIMO framework was presented. The outage performance was considered in the multiple-antenna flat Raleigh fading broadcast downlink channel and the closed-form ...

Probabilistic Multilayer Perceptrons for Wind Farm Condition Monitoring

open access: yesWind Energy, Volume 28, Issue 4, April 2025.
ABSTRACT We provide a condition monitoring system for wind farms, based on normal behaviour modelling using a probabilistic multilayer perceptron with transfer learning via fine‐tuning. The model predicts the output power of the wind turbine under normal behaviour based on features retrieved from supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Performance analysis of complex field network coding based on moment generating function

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2012
The moment generating function was introduced to analysis closed-form expression for the outage probability that the relays employ complex field network coding, and the effect on symbol error probability with various modulation mode was evaluated.Computer

Leveraging High‐Frequency Sensor Data and U.S. National Water Model Output to Forecast Turbidity in a Drinking Water Supply Basin

open access: yesJAWRA Journal of the American Water Resources Association, Volume 61, Issue 2, April 2025.
ABSTRACT As high‐frequency sensor networks increasingly enhance data‐driven models of water quality, process‐based models like the U.S. National Water Model (NWM) are generating accessible forecasts of streamflow at increasingly dense scales. There is now an opportunity to combine these products to construct actionable water quality forecasts.

Pricing Poseidon: Extreme Weather Uncertainty and Firm Return Dynamics

open access: yesThe Journal of Finance, Volume 80, Issue 2, Page 783-832, April 2025.
ABSTRACT We empirically analyze firm‐level uncertainty generated from extreme weather events, guided by a theoretical framework. Stock options of firms with establishments in a hurricane's (forecast) landfall region exhibit large implied volatility increases, reflecting significant uncertainty (before) after impact.
