Secrecy Outage Probability in Backscatter Communication Systems With Tag Selection

open access: yesIEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2021
In this letter, we propose a tag selection scheme to enhance the security transmission in a passive backscatter communication system with multiple tags and one eavesdropper, and analyze the secrecy outage probability (SOP).

Outage Probability for MIMO MAC Channels [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 1st International Conference on 5G for Ubiquitous Connectivity, 2014
In this paper, we investigate the outage probability for the mutual information of the sum rate for the MIMO (multiple input multiple output) MAC (multiple access channel) channel. We derive exact results for the “two users” case with two antennas and a general result for K users with an arbitrary number of antennas and different signal-to-noise ratios.

Cooperative Lossy Communications in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Networks: Age-of-Information With Outage Probability

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2021
This article analyzes the robustness and timeliness for cooperative lossy communications in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) networks. The analytical framework consists of two steps: 1) calculating the outage probability, and 2) characterizing the Age-of ...

Outage probability of multiuser cognitive MIMO system [PDF]

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2009
To analyze the multi-antenna gain in multiuser cognitive radio system, a multiuser cognitive MIMO framework was presented. The outage performance was considered in the multiple-antenna flat Raleigh fading broadcast downlink channel and the closed-form ...

On the outage probability of MMSE turbo equalization in frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We analyze the outage probability of frequency domain minimum mean squared error turbo equalization over frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channels with exponential delay power profile.

Secrecy Outage Probability Analysis for RIS-Assisted NOMA Systems [PDF]

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2020
In this Letter, the physical layer security for a novel reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-assisted non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system in a multi-user scenario is investigated, where the authors consider the worst case that the ...

Outage analysis of superposition modulation aided network coded cooperation in the presence of network coding noise [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We consider a network, where multiple sourcedestination pairs communicate with the aid of a half-duplex relay node (RN), which adopts decode-forward (DF) relaying and superposition-modulation (SPM) for combining the signals transmitted by the source ...

Outage Probability Analysis for Correlated Sources Transmission over Rician Fading Channels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, the outage probability of a Slepian-Wolf transmission system is analysed theoretically. We consider two correlated binary information sequences where bit-flipping model is adopted, where the the information bits of the second source are ...

Outage Probability Analysis of THz Relaying Systems [PDF]

open access: yes2020 IEEE 31st Annual International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2020
This paper focuses on quantifying the outage performance of terahertz (THz) relaying systems. In this direction, novel closed-form expressions for the outage probability of a dual-hop relaying systems, in which both the source-relay and relay-destination

Proof of the Outage Probability Conjecture for MISO Channels [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2012
In Telatar 1999, it is conjectured that the covariance matrices minimizing the outage probability for MIMO channels with Gaussian fading are diagonal with either zeros or constant values on the diagonal. In the MISO setting, this is equivalent to conjecture that the Gaussian quadratic forms having largest tale probability correspond to such diagonal ...
