Rotational Structure and Outflow in the Infrared Dark Cloud 18223-3 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We examine an Infrared Dark Cloud (IRDC) at high spatial resolution as a means to study rotation, outflow, and infall at the onset of massive star formation.

OUTFLOWS FROM MAGNETOROTATIONAL SUPERNOVAE [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2008
We discuss results of 2D simulations of magnetorotational (MR) mechanism of core collapse supernova explosions. Due to the nonuniform collapse, the collapsed core rotates differentially. In the presence of an initial poloidal magnetic field its toroidal component appears and grows with time.

Variations in active outflow along the trabecular outflow pathway [PDF]

open access: yesExperimental Eye Research, 2016
Previous tracer studies have shown segmental outflow in the trabecular meshwork (TM) and along the inner wall (IW) of Schlemm's canal (SC). Whether segmental outflow is conserved distal to SC has not yet been investigated. This study aims to investigate whether the segmented pattern of outflow is conserved in distal outflow pathways by using a newly ...

The influence of stony soil properties on water dynamics modeled by the HYDRUS model

open access: yesJournal of Hydrology and Hydromechanics, 2018
Stony soils are composed of two fractions (rock fragments and fine soil) with different hydrophysical characteristics. Although stony soils are abundant in many catchments, their properties are still not well understood.

On a Fluid Outflow from a Bottle Turned Upside-Down

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2006
An incompressible viscous as well as nonviscous fluid outflow from an axially symmetric bottle turned upside-down is considered. This problem relates the gravity acceleration and air bubbles inflow into the bottle and in the mathematical sense presents a

Poor Internal Jugular Venous Outflow Is Associated with Poor Cortical Venous Outflow and Outcomes after Successful Endovascular Reperfusion Therapy

open access: yesBrain Sciences, 2022
Many patients show poor outcomes following endovascular reperfusion therapy (ERT), and poor cortical venous outflow is a risk factor for these poor outcomes.

From the Region Attracting to the Region Pushing Out the Population (on the Example of the Silesian Voivodeship)

open access: yesStudia Ekonomiczne i Regionalne, 2022
Subject and purpose of work: The subject of the research is the Silesian Voivodeship, identified with the region which, almost until the end of the 20th century, was characterized by a positive balance of population migration in interregional flows ...

Outflow forces of low mass embedded objects in Ophiuchus: a quantitative comparison of analysis methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The outflow force of molecular bipolar outflows is a key parameter in theories of young stellar feedback on their surroundings. The focus of many outflow studies is the correlation between the outflow force, bolometric luminosity and envelope mass ...

Water circulation and recharge pathways of coastal lakes along the southern Baltic Sea in northern Poland

open access: yesLimnological Review, 2016
The purpose of this paper is to describe water circulation patterns for selected lakes found along the Baltic coast in northern Poland and to determine primary recharge mechanisms or pathways that produce an influx or loss of lake water.
