Rotation in the NGC 1333 IRAS 4C Outflow [PDF]

open access: yesAstrophysical Journal, 2018
We report molecular line observations of the NGC 1333 IRAS 4C outflow in the Perseus Molecular Cloud with the Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array.

Measurement of Outflow Facility Using iPerfusion [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
Elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) is the predominant risk factor for glaucoma, and reducing IOP is the only successful strategy to prevent further glaucomatous vision loss.

Molecular and Ionized Gas Phases of an AGN-driven Outflow in a Typical Massive Galaxy at z ≈ 2 [PDF]

open access: yesAstrophysical Journal, 2018
Nuclear outflows driven by accreting massive black holes are one of the main feedback mechanisms invoked at high-z to reproduce the distinct separation between star-forming disk galaxies and quiescent spheroidal systems.

Emergence of a quasar outflow [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society: Letters, 2008
Abstract We report the first discovery of the emergence of a high-velocity broad-line outflow in a luminous quasar, J105400.40+034801.2, at redshift z∼ 2.1. The outflow is evident in ultraviolet C iv and Si iv absorption lines with velocity shifts v∼ 26 300 km s−1 and deblended widths FWHM ∼4000 km s−1.

Outflow of cerebrospinal fluid is predominantly through lymphatic vessels and is reduced in aged mice

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) has been commonly accepted to drain through arachnoid projections from the subarachnoid space to the dural venous sinuses. However, a lymphatic component to CSF outflow has long been known.

Quantifying Feedback from Narrow Line Region Outflows in Nearby Active Galaxies. I. Spatially Resolved Mass Outflow Rates for the Seyfert 2 Galaxy Markarian 573 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We present the first spatially resolved mass outflow rate measurements ( ) of the optical emission line gas in the narrow line region (NLR) of a Seyfert 2 galaxy, Markarian 573.

Outflow Propagation in Collapsars: Collimated Jets and Expanding Outflows [PDF]

open access: yesAstrophysics and Space Science, 2006
We investigate the outflow propagation in the collapsar in the context of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) with 2D relativistic hydrodynamic simulations. We vary the specific internal energy and bulk Lorentz factor of the injected out- flow from non-relativistic regime to relativistic one, fixing the power of the outflow to be 1051erg s−1.

Quasar Feedback in the Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxy F11119+3257: Connecting the Accretion Disk Wind with the Large-scale Molecular Outflow [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In Tombesi et al., we reported the first direct evidence for a quasar accretion disk wind driving a massive (>100 M⊙ yr−1) molecular outflow. The target was F11119+3257, an ultraluminous infrared galaxy (ULIRG) with unambiguous type 1 quasar optical ...

Disks and outflows [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Astronomical Union Colloquium, 1989
AbstractThis paper reviews recent developments in the study of bipolar outflows and their possible collimation by disklike structures. The exciting stars of most bipolar outflows are embedded in dense cores, self-gravitating structures with masses in the range of 1 to 103M⊙.
