Current output stage with improved CMRR

10th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2003. ICECS 2003. Proceedings of the 2003, 2004
A technique to increase the common-mode rejection ratio of traditional current output stage is presented. The solution exploits an auxiliary high-gain feedback loop which also approximately doubles the differential transconductance. SPICE simulations using the model parameters of a 0.8-/spl mu/m CMOS process arc found in remarkable agreement with ...

A high output impedance current source

Physiological Measurement, 1994
A high output impedance current source was required for electrical impedance tomography (EIT) applications capable of operating up to 200 kHz. The architecture is based on operational-amplifier power-supply current sensing and produces a predominantly capacitive output impedance, which for the design presented is approximately 1.2 pF.

CMOS High-CMRR Current Output Stages

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2007
Two CMOS current output stages are presented. Compared to the traditional solution, which exhibits unbalanced operation, the proposed ones exploit an auxiliary high-gain feedback loop which provides differential drive, thereby highly improving the common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR).

Tuned current-output fluxgate

Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2000
The current-output fluxgate may be tuned by using a serial capacitor. Such tuning increases the sensor sensitivity in the situation when the pick-up coil has a low number of turns. We achieved a signal/feedthrough ratio improvement by a factor of 5. The measured parameters fit the simplified theoretical model within 20% deviation.

Current-transformer output and application charts

Electrical Engineering, 1944
The performance of a multiratio current transformer is most simply represented as a function among the admittance vector locus of the core for one turn, the secondary-turn number N, and the secondary impedance Z. If the ratio of N2/Z is used as a variable, extremely simple application charts for ratio correction factor in relation to primary currents ...
