Bounded input power-bounded output power stability criterion
Automatica, 1971A bounded input power-bounded output power stability criterion is derived for a class of single loop control systems having a memoryless, time-invariant, non-linear operator and a causal operator in the loop. The result is established by showing that a system from this class maps the Marcinkiewicz space M"2 into itself.

Dissecting muscle power output
Journal of Experimental Biology, 1999ABSTRACT The primary determinants of muscle force throughout a shortening–lengthening cycle, and therefore of the net work done during the cycle, are (1) the shortening or lengthening velocity of the muscle and the force–velocity relationship for the muscle, (2) muscle length and the length–tension relationship for the muscle, and (3 ...

High output power 670nm VCSELs
SPIE Proceedings, 2007The VCSELs investigated in this work are based upon AlGaAs semiconductor mirrors with AlGaInP based active regions. Single mode optical output powers at 670nm in excess of 2.8mW at a 20C ambient temperature have been achieved, with single mode output powers in excess of 1mW at 60C and 0.5mW at 70C.

Human Power Output and Muscle Fatigue
International Journal of Sports Medicine, 1994In human locomotion the ability to generate and sustain power output is of fundamental importance. This review examines the implications for power output of having variability in the metabolic and contractile properties within the population of muscle fibres which comprise the major locomotory muscles.

Output power variations with solar power satellites
Solar Energy, 1978Abstract The first comprehensive evaluation of output power variations expected from Solar Power Satellites is presented. The various factors are classified in a two tier manner as: deterministic (either periodic or non-periodic) and statistical (either constant with system life or changing with life).

Audio Power Output System With Shared Output Blocking Capacitor
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2011An audio power output system with shared output blocking capacitor provides reduced cost and volume in multi-channel audio power output systems. A pair of transducers are series-connected in opposite polarity and a common DC blocking capacitor provides the return path to a power supply rail in common with a pair of audio power output stages having ...

Market power and output stability
Economics Letters, 1983Abstract The conjectural variation elasticity is used in a comparative statics analysis to show that, contrary to a long-standing tenet of industrial organization, market power may destabilize output when cost and demand are stochastic, under other assumptions similar to those of recent empirical studies.

Output Power of Laser Resonators
1997The differential equations (9.35) and (9.56) describing the amplification of the intensity inside the active medium are now used to derive the output power of stable resonators. In the resonator model used (Fig. 10.1) it is assumed that both the forward travelling beam with intensity I +(z) and the backward traveling beam with intensity I -(z) cover ...

Power supply for supplying AC output power [PDF]
High voltage stress on the semiconductor devices at light load conditions, high total harmonic distortion (THD) of the line current, and poor crest factor (CF) of lamp current of ''charge pump'' electronic ballast circuits make them difficult to manufacture cost-effectively.

Catering for increased power output
Industrial Lubrication and Tribology, 1978THE provision of superchargers on diesel engines improves their efficiency and economizes on fuel. As a result diesel engines have become more widely used as a means of propulsion, and are now an alternative to steam turbines in ships.
