Effects of Gaze Position on Ocular Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (oVEMP)
Objective: To compare ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potential (oVEMP) responses obtained with superomedial and oblique gaze positions. Methods: The oVEMP test was applied in 59 healthy subjects at superomedial, right oblique, and left oblique gaze positions. Stimuli were presented at 110 dB nHL with a frequency of 500 Hz.

Evaluation of oVEMP and cVEMP in Superior Semicircular Canal Dehiscence Cases [PDF]
Superior semisircular canal dehiscence (SSCD) is a disease of the audiovestibular system, which occurs as a result of the lack of bone layer covering the superior semisircular canal. The disease forms a third window in the inner ear due to the lack of bone layer.

Comparison of Different Electrode Configurations for the oVEMP With Bone-Conducted Vibration
Objectives: This study was performed to compare three electrode configurations for the ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (oVEMPs)—“standard,” “sternum,” and “nose”—by making use of bone-conducted stimuli (at the level of Fz with a minishaker).

Targeted Vestibular Rehabilitation Accelerates Symptom Relief by Promoting Vestibular Compensation in BPPV Patients With Residual Symptoms: Evidence From Resting-State fMRI. [PDF]
Targeted vestibular rehabilitation therapy does not improve utricular function directly, but improve dizziness, anxiety, and balance confidence to accelerate vestibular compensation, by enhanceing brain functional plasticity ABSTRACT Aims Residual dizziness (RD) is commonly observed in patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) following

After the n10: late oVEMP peaks in patients with unilateral vestibular loss and healthy volunteers
The ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potential (oVEMP) is a measure of otolith function. The initial n10 peak follows a contralateral pathway from ipsilateral utricle to contralateral inferior oblique muscle. Following the n10, a series of positive and negative waves are elicited in the inferior oblique, but their characteristics and generators are ...

Outcomes of cVEMP and oVEMP in Individuals with Tinnitus and Normal Hearing
The purpose of the present study is to find the functions of vestibular reflexes in individuals' with normal hearing and tinnitus, to identify vestibular dysfunctions earlier, and helps with the management of the same. The present study aimed to administer cVEMP and oVEMP to all the participants having a normal hearing with tinnitus (experimental group)
