High-Frequency Behavior of Residual Current Devices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the behavior of residual current devices at frequencies higher than the rated one. Many experiments are carried out by measuring tripping current and time of devices of different typology, produced by different ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Operational control and protection implications of fault current limitation in distribution networks

open access: yes, 2009
Rising short-circuit fault current levels is one of the problems associated with the increased presence of distributed generation (DG) in electrical networks.

High Speed Operation of Fuel Injectors with Over Current Protection

open access: yesThe Transactions of The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers, 2011
High speed drive method for a fuel injector cleaner with current control is presented in this paper. The fuel injector cleaner is used for cleaning the fuel injectors in vehicles when it is clogged with deposit and rust. The fuel injector cleaner cleans the fuel injector by turning on and off the fuel injector rapidly.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

A new dawn for minimum income protection?

open access: yes, 2013
The current economic crisis has presented itself as a formidable challenge to the welfare states of Europe. It is more relevant than ever to ask: do existing minimum income protection schemes succeed in adequately protecting citizens, be it whether they ...
