Threshold selection for the over current protection function
CAS 2011 Proceedings (2011 International Semiconductor Conference), 2011This paper proposes an over current protection circuit implementation with a new selectable threshold level function. The over current threshold level is controlled from a dedicated pin by an external resistance. A circuit capable of providing a reference current proportional to the external con-trol resistor is designed.

Characterisation of a motor driver with over-current protection and speed feedback
The 5th International Conference on Automation, Robotics and Applications, 2011Urban search and rescue robots are becoming more prolific and widely used. However, these robots are still being developed for specific environments and situations. The research being undertaken at Massey University is part of a larger collaboration to produce a multi-tiered robotic system for urban search and rescue. The first major hurdle of a mobile

A novel over-current protection for digital power amplifier
2012 IEEE 11th International Conference on Solid-State and Integrated Circuit Technology, 2012The paper presents a novel over current protection circuit in digital power amplifier. The over current protection circuit would be used to shut down the output buffer when two output pins short-circuit to power supply, short-circuit to ground or short-circuit to each other.

A new IGBT with a monolithic over-current protection circuit
Proceedings of the 6th International Symposium on Power Semiconductor Devices and Ics, 2002A new IGBT structure with a monolithic overcurrent sensing and protection circuit has been developed. The feature of this device is a novel integration of a sensing and protection circuit which consists of a sensing IGBT, lateral n-MOSFET, polycrystalline silicon diode and resistor with an IGBT structure.

Over current protection methods for LLC resonant converter
Eighteenth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2003. APEC '03., 2004LLC resonant converter was getting more and more attention in recent years because of its high efficiency, high frequency operation capability and simple structure. In this paper, the over current protection issue of LLC resonant converter is discussed.

Protection Coordination in AC Microgrid via Novel Voltage-Supervised Directional Over-Current Relays
IEEE Transactions on Power DeliveryConventional protection schemes are susceptible to dynamic changes in AC microgrids having diverse Distributed Generators (DGs). These changes, caused by different DG types, significantly alter the fault current levels, leading to conventional ...

Fast over-current protection of high power IGBT modules
2005 European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications, 2005IGBT high power modules are protected against over-current and short-circuit. These phenomena are defined and classical methods are explained. A new protection circuit is presented with the help of a formal approach for enhanced response time.

Tuned Fuzzy Controller Based Over Current Protection Scheme
2008 Joint International Conference on Power System Technology and IEEE Power India Conference, 2008The measurands from the remote location are gathered at central control room (CCR) for processing, taking corrective action and presenting to higher hierarchy in a presentable format and it requires remote terminal unit to communicate between them. The pre-processing of current has been done using fuzzy logic algorithm for pre-processing the measurands
