On-line current sensing circuit for the over-current protection of the electronic ballast
2007 8th International Conference on Electronic Measurement and Instruments, 2007A new on-chip current sensing circuit for the over-current protection of the electronic ballast is presented in this paper. The proposed scheme increases the sense accuracy and noise immunity over the full temperature range of the devices and can avoid fault over-current protection.

A novel over-current protection circuit for LED constant current driver

The circuit uses SENSEFET current sensing technique to sample inductor current, which has a high accuracy. A new IGBT with a monolithic over-current protection circuit
