Dispersion in Neptune's Zonal Wind Velocities from NIR Keck AO Observations in July 2009
We report observations of Neptune made in H-(1.4-1.8 {\mu}m) and K'-(2.0-2.4 {\mu}m) bands on 14 and 16 July 2009 from the 10-m W.M. Keck II Telescope using the near-infrared camera NIRC2 coupled to the Adaptive Optics (AO) system. We track the positions

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

Strong polarization mode coupling in microresonators
We observe strong modal coupling between the TE00 and TM00 modes in Si3N4 ring resonators revealed by avoided crossings of the corresponding resonances. Such couplings result in significant shifts of the resonance frequencies over a wide range around the

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

Soliton blue-shift in tapered photonic crystal fiber
We show that solitons undergo a strong blue shift in fibers with a dispersion landscape that varies along the direction of propagation. The experiments are based on a small-core photonic crystal fiber, tapered to have a core diameter that varies ...

Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.

Atmospheric mercury dispersion over the South African Highveld
Coal combustion in coal-fired power plants is the dominant source of mercury (Hg) emissions in South Africa. The majority of these plants are located in the South African Highveld, an area that experiences poor air quality.

All-Optical Double Spectral-Efficient RoF Link With Compensation of Dispersion-Induced Power Fading
An all-optical radio-over-fiber (RoF) link with double spectral-efficient transmission and compensation of chromatic dispersion-induced power fading is proposed and experimentally demonstrated.

Are the distributions of Fast Radio Burst properties consistent with a cosmological population? [PDF]
High time resolution radio surveys over the last few years have discovered a population of millisecond-duration transient bursts called Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs), which remain of unknown origin.

A new over-dispersed count model
A new two-parameter discrete distribution, namely the PoiG distribution is derived by the convolution of a Poisson variate and an independently distributed geometric random variable. This distribution generalizes both the Poisson and geometric distributions and can be used for modelling over-dispersed as well as equi-dispersed count data.
