From overall equipment efficiency (OEE) to overall Fab effectiveness (OFE)

Materials Science in Semiconductor Processing, 2002
Abstract The metrics of the SEMI standard E79 offers a good method to calculate the overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and finds increasing application and acceptance in the semiconductor industry. To effectively apply E79, communication with the host using the SEMI SECS and GEM standards is required.

Improvement of Overall Equipment Efficiency of Machine by SMED

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2020
Abstract To stay in the competitive world, lead automobile companies must expand their production rate which is directly linked to the financial state of the organization. To improve the production rate as well as profit of any company is not a one-day process, but it requires some steps to achieve.

Overall Input Efficiency and Total Equipment Efficiency

IEEE Transactions on Semiconductor Manufacturing, 2006
For years, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) has been considered the ultimate efficiency index for production equipment, especially in the semiconductor industry where the equipment costs constitute some two-thirds to three-quarters of the total production costs. This paper asserts that the OEE is only half of the full efficiency equation.
