Research on Stability of Overburden Structure around Longwall Mining Face in Steeply Dipping Seam Group

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2015
The steeply dipping seam group is defined by the two or more coal seams ,a pitch between 35°~55°. Using masonry beam theory, longitudinal bending theory and “R-S-F” dynamics control theory built a lower area overburden structure mode. Analysed the stability of low position coal seam.

Overburden deformation related to the pre-piercement development of salt structures in the North Sea

Journal of the Geological Society, 1988
The nature of the stress regime imposed on a clastic overburden by a developing salt structure changes with time. These changes are directly related to the evolving morphology of the salt structure in a sequence of events which is now quite well understood.

Evaluation of Some Salt-Related Overburden Structures in the U.K. Southern North Sea

1995
Interpretation of recently acquired high-resolution three-dimensional seismic data has been combined with two-dimensional cross-section restorations and new insights into salt tectonics derived from scaled physical and numerical models. This prompted a reevaluation of the development of salt-related structures in our areas of interest in the U.K ...
