Abstract To elucidate the crystal growth process of hematite in high-temperature lead-free multicomponent alkali borosilicate glass, which is essentially important to control the color of red overglaze enamels, frit and hematite mixture is heat-treated and subjected to microscopic observations. Hematite particles slightly grew due to sintering at low

AbstractFamille rose porcelain made in the imperial workshop was one of the symbols of the highest manufacturing techniques in ancient China. It was very precious and only owned by the royals for a long time. Because of its complex making technology, overglaze green pigment painted on famille rose porcelain shows many variations. In this work, selected

[Raman and EDXRF Study on Overglaze Decorations of Jingdezhen Ceramics].
Overglaze decoration porcelain is an important category of ancient Chinese ceramics, which has significant artistic value and scientific value. Nondestructive analysis methods such as Raman spectroscopy and EDXRF were used to analyze the overglaze decorations on the Jingdezhen ceramic samples of Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty.

Comfort Aspects in Overglazed Environments
1984A review of the numerous works concerning human thermal losses has lead to a new human thermal comfort model. A set of diagrams has been obtained. We discuss here the opportunity of a norm laid down severely (too much rigid). The variability of the different parameters, mainly activity, and clothing insulation may be associated with other combinations ...

Flexural strength of feldspathic porcelain treated with ion exchange, overglaze, and polishing
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1994Feldspathic porcelains, which are used in the construction of porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) restorations, have an inherent weakness because of their brittle nature and processing flaws. A relatively new product, the Tuf-Coat ion exchange system, claims to substantially strengthen feldspathic porcelains.

Chemical stability of oxide overglaze films
Refractories and Industrial Ceramics, 2000Overglaze oxide films on ceramics experience the corrosive action of aggressive products in service of their parts. A set of optical methods of study is suggested for a quantitative characteristic of the preservation and aesthetic properties of the surface.

Effects of Different Sodic Deflocculants on Rheological Properties of Acid-Resistant Overglaze Slip
Advanced Materials Research, 2013This paper aims at solving the poor rheology of clay-water- acid-resistant overglaze slip. Natronite, tripolyphosphate sodium and composite deflocculant compounded of sodium natronite and sodium tripolyphosphate in proportion of 1:2 respectively were taken as deflocculants, and single-factor test and ring test were used to measure the variations in ...
