A depth–spatial alignment method for multi‐source point clouds on large‐scale construction sites
Abstract Three‐dimensional (3D) site models form the digital foundation for modern construction management. However, creating these models from multi‐source imagery presents two key challenges: accurately georeferencing camera poses during wide‐view acquisition and precisely aligning multiple point clouds that possess non‐uniform accuracy.

Abstract To accommodate environment‐induced time‐window constraints, environment‐sensitive activities are arranged within allowable time windows while maintaining technological precedence and other logical relationships on the project. This research advances classical time–cost trade‐off (TCT) analysis by incorporating time‐window constraints in ...

Staged ecologies: Aesthetics, nature and infrastructure in the late‐modern metropolis
Short Abstract This paper examines the relationship between urban nature and landscape design within a £1.5 billion regeneration project that is currently unfolding in Thamesmead, a town in south‐east London. It develops the notion of ‘staged ecologies’ to examine how urban nature is being spatially and aesthetically arranged across the town's ...

We show that Arctic and red fox space use significantly affects goose nest habitat selection and nest success in a low‐Arctic tundra ecosystem. However, the impact of fox predation depended on the location and timing of incubation of the nest, demonstrating the importance of incorporating time into the ‘landscape of fear’ concept.

ABSTRACT The characteristics of soft robots make them better candidates for applications such as healthcare, due to their enhanced safety, adaptability, and more natural human‐robot interaction compared to traditional counterparts. Different actuating systems have been proposed for soft robotics. On the other hand, since this technology is fairly young,

A Multi‐Mode Analytical Frequency Modulation Input‐Shaping Control
ABSTRACT In rest‐to‐rest maneuvers, input shapers like the double step (DS), zero vibration (ZV), and zero vibration derivative (ZVD) are widely utilized to eliminate residual vibrations in single‐mode systems. These shapers can be used to eliminate residual oscillations in multimode systems, given that the higher frequencies are odd multiples of the ...
