A Calculation Method for Line Harmonic Current Based on Three-Terminal HVDC Transmission System

open access: yesZhongguo dianli, 2021
In view of the potential problem of harmonic current amplification of overhead transmission lines in three-terminal DC transmission system, a study is conducted on the harmonic current of bipolar overhead lines under different operating modes.

THE IMPACT OF LIGHTNING STRIKE ON HYBRID HIGH VOLTAGE OVERHEAD TRANSMISSION LINE – INSULATED GAS LINE

open access: yesInformatyka, Automatyka, Pomiary w Gospodarce i Ochronie Środowiska
The electrical network is the set of elements where loads are connected to the generation plants by transmission lines. They can be either overhead or underground cables.

Monte Carlo evaluation of the impact of subsequent strokes on backflashover rate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The paper deals with the impact of subsequent strokes on the backflashover rate (BFR) of HV overhead transmission lines (OHLs), assessed by means of an ATP-EMTP Monte Carlo procedure.

Analysis of multiple lightning overvoltage on 110 kV transmission lines

open access: yesResults in Engineering
As pointed out by the CIGRE TB 549 report issued by the International Power Grid Committee, >80 % of cloud-to-ground lightning are multiple lightning strokes (MLS), posing a severe threat to overhead transmission lines.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Travelling wave fault location algorithm for hybrid cable-overhead transmission lines based on frequency-dependent characteristic

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
As known, it is important to identify the precise fault location in actual power system. Especially, the hybrid cable-overhead transmission line has complex faulty characteristic, because of the differences in electrical parameters and wave velocities ...

Dynamic Analysis of Overhead Transmission Line under Turbulent Wind Loading

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Structural Engineering, 2015
This paper compares the dynamic response of a test transmission line with the response due to static loads given by Eurocode. Finite element design software SAP2000 was used to model towers and power-lines. Nonlinear dynamic analysis including the large

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

Dispensing Volumetric Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dispensing volumetric additive manufacturing (DVAM) prints 3D structures inside a photocurable resin droplet suspended from the tip of a glass pipette, enabling sequential printing without resin vats or manual part removal. Real‐time droplet profiling and ray‐tracing‐based correction compensate for optical distortion at the curved resin‐air interface ...
