MON: Mission-optimized overlay networks [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE INFOCOM 2017 - IEEE Conference on Computer Communications, 2017
Large organizations often have users in multiple sites which are connected over the Internet. Since resources are limited, communication between these sites needs to be carefully orchestrated for the most benefit to the organization. We present a Mission-optimized Overlay Network (MON), a hybrid overlay network architecture for maximizing utility to ...

Short path first overlay building

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2010
Shorter path first strategy to build topology matching overlay was presented.First, passive landmark based network distance prediction method was presented, and the network distance between peers could be predicted correctly with low overload and ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Diffraction-Based Overlay Metrology With Optical Convolution Layer

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2023
Overlay is a crucial indicator of manufacturing processing between layers. Currently, diffraction-based overlay (DBO) is widely adopted in overlay metrology.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Explicit Context Matching in Content-Based Publish/Subscribe Systems

open access: yesSensors, 2013
Although context could be exploited to improve performance, elasticity and adaptation in most distributed systems that adopt the publish/subscribe (P/S) communication model, only a few researchers have focused on the area of context-aware matching in P/S

Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

SDN and Traffic Fine Operation

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2014
On the basis of analyzing the real use cases of network traffic optimization, an idea and system architecture were presented, which abstracted the current network to the overlay network and used the SDN controller to control the overlay network for smart

Resilient overlay design in DWDM systems [PDF]

open access: yesYugoslav Journal of Operations Research, 2016
The goal of this work is to design a minimum cost resilient overlay network, where a data network is on top of a transport network. Two major challenges are addressed.
