Abstract As a first attempt to assess bone health in cleaner fish production, wild and cultured ballan wrasse Labrus bergylta and lumpfish Cyclopterus lumpus were examined by radiology. Alien plant species are only found in settlements on Svalbard, in strong association with previous animal husbandry and along tourist routes. We find no alien species at selected boat landing sites near bird cliffs, where both visitors and birds may be vectors for dispersal.
