Effect of different lining paper materials and infusions on oviposition preference of Aedes aegypti (Diptera: Culicidae) gravid mosquitoes [PDF]
Aedes aegypti (Linnaeus) mosquito is a vector responsible for increasing global public health concerns due to its rapid geographical spread and increasing vectorial capacity. Understanding the breeding behavior of Ae.

Regulation of Oviposition in Social Hymenoptera [PDF]
THE rate of increase of population in societies of social insects obviously depends upon the numbers of adults which can be produced per head of the adult population. Ideally, the numbers of eggs laid should be just appropriate to this situation, so that the prevailing food supply may be efficiently transformed.

An Automatic Oviposition Recorder
Abstract ACCURATE knowledge of time of lay is of considerable importance in many studies of the physiology of the oviduct. To eliminate the need for continuous checking of the birds by an attendant, especially during non-working hours, an automatic oviposition recording apparatus was developed for use with laying cages.

The Effect of Oviposition on Fertility in Chickens
The fertility between the first two eggs of a clutch and between eggs oviposited by the same bird on the same day were compared to determine the effect of oviposition on fertility. No differences in fertility were observed indicating that factors other than oviposition are involved in the mechanism of spermatozoal release and fertility in chickens.

Oviposition and development in the glass frog Hyalinobatrachium orientale (Anura: Centrolenidae) [PDF]
Oviposition and external embryonic developmental features are described in the Tobago glass frog, Hyalinobatrachium orientale. Egg clutches are nearly always laid on the undersides of leaves (one exception); usually leaves of Heliconia sp.

The predatory bug Orius strigicollis shows a preference for egg-laying sites based on plant topography [PDF]
Background Oviposition site selection is an important factor in determining the success of insect populations. Orius spp. are widely used in the biological control of a wide range of soft-bodied insect pests such as thrips, aphids, and mites.

Diet quality is of paramount importance for egg batch size, longevity, and mortality of vector mosquitoes. Oviposition site presence and absence assumed to be dry season means a lot to the survivorship and mortality of most anthropophilic malaria vectors

Insect eggs can enhance wound response in plants: a study system of tomato Solanum lycopersicum L. and Helicoverpa zea Boddie. [PDF]
Insect oviposition on plants frequently precedes herbivory. Accumulating evidence indicates that plants recognize insect oviposition and elicit direct or indirect defenses to reduce the pressure of future herbivory.
