Extracellular Vesicles Derived From Antral Follicles Significantly Change the Transcriptional Profile of Cumulus Cells and Oocytes During Pre‐In Vitro Maturation in Cattle

open access: yesMolecular Reproduction and Development, Volume 92, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Cumulus‐oocyte complexes (COCs) used for in vitro production (IVP) of bovine embryos originate from antral follicles of different sizes, leading to variations in developmental competence. To address this, pre‐in vitro maturation (pre‐IVM) allows oocytes with additional time to acquire developmental competence.

open access: yesErciyes Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Dergisi, 2023
Bu çalışmada, foliküler kistli Holstein ırkı düvelerde Ovsynch programının tedavideki etkinliğini belirlemek amaçlan- dı. Özel bir süt sığırı işletmesinde, iki veya üç tohumlamadan sonra gebe kalmayan, sık düzensiz, uzun veya sürekli östrüs belirtileri gösteren 2018 yılında 19 baş, 2022 yılında 17 baş, toplam 36 baş Holstein ırkı düve on gün arayla ...

Subclinical Ketosis: Reproductive Performance and Milk Yield in Dairy Cows Receiving Oral Glucogenic Precursors During Early Postpartum Period

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 5, September 2025.
This study evaluated the effects of postpartum subclinical ketosis on milk yield and reproductive performance in dairy cows. Subclinical ketosis did not adversely affect milk yield or pregnancy rates in cows inseminated after estrus detection and a fixed‐time insemination protocol.

Efecto de la bST sobre la fertilidad de vacas lecheras de primer servicio sincronizadas por medio del protocolo Doublesynch [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this study, the pregnancy rate of Doublesynch and Presynch-Ovsynch synchronization protocols, using bovine somatotropin hormone (bST), was compared at artificial insemination (AI) time, using first service cows.

Evaluation of the Accuracy and Performance of Two Commercial Pregnancy‐Associated Glycoprotein Tests for Early Pregnancy Detection in Cows

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 2, March 2025.
Early pregnancy diagnosis contributes to increasing productivity and profitability in dairy farms. The performance of AOPT and AMPT used for early pregnancy diagnosis in dairy cattle was evaluated for the first time together. AOPT and AMPT are practical methods for early pregnancy diagnosis, 28 days after insemination in dairy cows. ABSTRACT The aim of

Comparative Study of Pregnancy Rate of Dairy Cows Inseminated with Fresh or Frozen-Thawed Semen

open access: yesActa Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis, 2020
The aim of this study was to investigate conception rates (CR) achieved with artificial insemination of Holstein cows using fresh or frozen insemination doses (ID). The synchronization protocols (Double-Ovsynch, Ovsynch, ReSynch) and pedometers were used

Human chorionic gonadotropin and GnRH effects on pregnancy survival in pregnant cows and resynchronized pregnancy rates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Dairy Research, 2007 is known as Dairy Day, 2007Experiments have shown human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) to be more effective than gondadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) as a means to ovulate follicles.

Repeat Breeder Syndrome Therapies in Dairy Cows: A Review

open access: yesReproduction in Domestic Animals, Volume 59, Issue 10, October 2024.
ABSTRACT Repeat breeder (RB) cows are clinically healthy animals with regular oestrous cycles that do not become pregnant after three or more services. This syndrome has an incidence ranging between 10.1% and 24%. Repeat breeder syndrome (RBS) in dairy cows leads to economic losses to dairy farmers by increasing the calving interval and consequently ...

Early prognostic markers to predict unsuccessful pregnancy in dairy cattle

open access: yesReproduction in Domestic Animals, Volume 59, Issue 5, May 2024.
Abstract This study aimed to investigate maternal serum levels of some angiogenic factors and certain proteins in dairy cattle for (1) early prediction of unsuccessful fertilization and (2) early detection of possible pregnancy failures (early EM) after positive insemination Serum samples were collected from the same cattle at three distinct time ...
