Towards tick virome and emerging tick‐borne viruses: Protocols, challenges and perspectives

open access: yesiMetaOmics, Volume 2, Issue 2, June 2025.
Emerging tick‐borne viruses are considered a significant public health threat. The understanding of the tick virome has been revolutionized by high‐throughput meta‐transcriptomic sequencing, and numerous novel pathogens have been unveiled. However, effective data integration and comparative analyses have been hindered by inconsistent research protocols.

Butyrate alleviates food allergy by improving intestinal barrier integrity through suppressing oxidative stress‐mediated Notch signaling

open access: yesiMeta, Volume 4, Issue 3, June 2025.
Compared to healthy controls, children with food‐sensitized tolerance and food allergy showed reduced fecal short‐chain fatty acids (SCFAs), particularly butyrate. In an ovalbumin‐sensitized mouse model, butyrate outperformed other SCFAs in alleviating allergic responses.

Oxidative Stress in Antigen Processing and Presentation

open access: yesMedComm – Oncology, Volume 4, Issue 2, June 2025.
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) play a crucial role in antigen processing and presentation, essential for linking innate and adaptive immunity. While balanced ROS levels promote immune function, excess ROS can disrupt antigen recognition, resulting in immune dysfunction.
