Conductivometric determination of urinary oxalate with oxalate decarboxylase

Urological Research, 1982
An enzymatic method for determination of urinary oxalate is described: the acidified urine samples are extracted with chloroform. This manipulation improves the blank values considerably. 1 ml of extracted urine is incubated with oxalate decarboxylase. The CO2 released from the medium is absorbed by Sr(OH)2.

Oxalate Urolithiasis: Significance of Serum and Urinary Oxalate

Urologia Internationalis, 1980
With a new enzymatic test using oxalate oxidase, serum and urinary oxalate can easily and quickly be determined. Serum oxalate in females was significantly higher than in males (39.5 mumol/l, 30.8 mumol/l). Increased serum levels were found only in male patients. Urinary excretion did not reveal sex-dependent differences in healthy persons.

High-Efficiency Conversion of CO2 to Oxalate in Water Is Possible Using a Cr-Ga Oxide Electrocatalyst

ACS Catalysis, 2019
Electrochemical transformation of CO2 into commodity chemicals such as oxalate is a strategy for profitably remediating high atmospheric CO2 levels. Electrocatalysts for oxalate generation, however, have required prohibitively large applied potentials ...
