Specificity of resistance to oxidative stress [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Neurochemistry, 2002
AbstractTwo clonal nerve‐like cell lines derived from HT22 and PC12 have been selected for resistance to glutamate toxicity and amyloid toxicity, respectively. In the following experiments it was asked if these cell lines show cross‐resistance toward amyloid beta peptide (Aβ) and glutamate as well as toward a variety of additional neurotoxins ...

SiC-IrSi3 for High Oxidation Resistance [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials, 2019
SiC is a material with excellent mechanical and thermal properties but with a high production cost. Obtaining SiC by reactive infiltration is an attractive method with a much lower cost than the traditional sintering process. However, the reactive infiltration process presents a serious problem, which is the high residual silicon content, which ...

Triarylmethane Fluorophores Resistant to Oxidative Photobluing [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2018
Spectral stability of small-molecule fluorescent probes is required for correct interpretation and reproducibility of multicolor fluorescence imaging data, in particular under high (de)excitation light intensities of super-resolution imaging or in single-molecule applications.

Oxidation Behavior of Quaternary Co-20Re-25Cr-3Si Alloy at Laboratory Air

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials, 2021
The iso-thermal oxidation of the quaternary Co-20Re-25Cr-3Si alloy at 1,000–1,200 C under laboratory air for 24 h has been studied. The oxidation kinetics at 1,000–1,200 C follow parabolic law perfectly and the value of oxidation activation energy is 220.

Effect of microcrystallization on the oxidation resistance of Fe-Cr alloy

open access: yesJournal of Hebei University of Science and Technology, 2019
In order to improve the high temperature oxidation resistance of Fe-Cr alloy, cast Fe-Cr alloys with different Cr contents are treated by electrospark deposition to get microcrystalline structure. The oxidation behavior of as-cast and microcrystalline Fe-
