Propane oxidative dehydrogenation on silica based oxide catalysts
Catalysis Letters, 1996The oxidative dehydrogenation of propane to propylene with molecular O2 (PPD) has been investigated on commercial bare SiO2 and medium loaded V2O5 and MoO3 catalysts at 450–525°C. The direct relationship between the density of reduced sites (ρ, 1016 sr g cat− 1 ), evaluated in steady-state conditions by O2 chemisorption, and the POD reaction rate ...

Oxidative dehydrogenation of propane on zeolite catalysts
Catalysis Today, 2000Abstract Oxidative dehydrogenation of propane has been studied on zeolite Na-Y, stabilized zeolite Y (USY) and ZSM-5. The supports with the faujasite structure were modified with boron, gallium and indium oxides and Ca, Mg, Sn, and Sb cations. The samples containing simultaneously In2O3 and Ga2O3 in the USY support were compared.

Transient study of oxidative dehydrogenation of propane
Applied Catalysis A: General, 1999Abstract Kinetics and the mechanism of the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane were investigated using various transient techniques. Results support a redox reaction mechanism in which propane and intermediate products react with lattice oxygen, reducing the catalyst surface, which is reoxidized by gas-phase O2.

Oxidative dehydrogenation of propane on VSiβ catalysts
Catalysis Today, 2006Abstract VSiβ catalysts of V content varying between 0.14 and 4.0 V atoms/u.c., and containing VO x species of different coordination as shown by UV–vis spectroscopy, have been tested in oxidative dehydrogenation of propane. The catalytic performance depends on the V content, which controls the type of the VO x species.

Oxidative dehydrogenation of propane by molecular chlorine
Applied Catalysis A: General, 2015Abstract The gas-phase oxidative dehydrogenation of propane by molecular chlorine was studied in a flow reactor with a fixed catalyst bed using a series of ruthenium–titania catalysts at temperatures between 150 and 450 °C. It was found that Ru/TiO2 catalyst prepared by the incipient wetness impregnation of titania with an aqueous hydrochloric acid ...

Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Propane on γ-Al2O3 Supported Vanadium Oxides
Journal of Catalysis, 1994γ-Al2O3 supported vanadium oxides have been prepared following the continuous adsorption method. The superficial loading and the nature of the precursor species were monitored by varying the pH of the impregnation ammonium vanadate solution. The vanadium coordination was investigated by UV-visible, near infrared, Raman, 51V NMR, and ESR spectroscopies,

Niobium oxide as support material for the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane
Catalysis Today, 2003Abstract The ability of using niobium oxide (Nb 2 O 5 ) as a support for preparing surface metal oxide species and testing the catalyst for the ODH of propane was done in the present study. Chromium oxide was used as the representative surface metal oxide species.

Improved Supported Metal Oxides for the Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Propane
Topics in Catalysis, 2016The oxidative dehydrogenation of propane (ODHP) is an attractive reaction for the on-purpose production of propylene. Unfortunately, rapid consecutive over-oxidation of the desired olefin limits the selectivity and hampers the industrial feasibility. Supported metal oxides, and in particular dispersed vanadium-containing materials, have shown promising
