The Morphologies of the Semiconductor Oxides and Their Gas-Sensing Properties

open access: yesSensors, 2017
Semiconductor oxide chemoresistive gas sensors are widely used for detecting deleterious gases due to low cost, simple preparation, rapid response and high sensitivity.

Nitric oxide synthases in mammals.

open access: yesBiochemical Journal, 1994
Nitric oxide is an inorganic free radical gas, of formula *N=O (abbreviated as NO). The discovery in 1987/88 that vascular endothelial cells are able to synthesize NO from L-arginine as a transcellular signal [1-4] was initially received by most ...

Multidimensional OMICs reveal ARID1A orchestrated control of DNA damage, splicing, and cell cycle in normal‐like and malignant urothelial cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

Targeting the AKT/mTOR pathway attenuates the metastatic potential of colorectal carcinoma circulating tumor cells in a murine xenotransplantation model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dual targeting of AKT and mTOR using MK2206 and RAD001 reduces tumor burden in an intracardiac colon cancer circulating tumor cell xenotransplantation model. Analysis of AKT isoform‐specific knockdowns in CTC‐MCC‐41 reveals differentially regulated proteins and phospho‐proteins by liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Circulating tumor cells

Ubiquitination of transcription factors in cancer: unveiling therapeutic potential

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In cancer, dysregulated ubiquitination of transcription factors contributes to the uncontrolled growth and survival characteristics of tumors. Tumor suppressors are degraded by aberrant ubiquitination, or oncogenic transcription factors gain stability through ubiquitination, thereby promoting tumorigenesis.

Preparation of carbon-supported ruthenium spinel oxide catalyst and application thereof in the oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science
Trivalent ruthenium (Ru) can catalyse the oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA). However, the structure of Ru itself is unstable and is prone to aggregation and oxidation, leading to a decrease in catalytic ...
