Nitazoxanide Stimulates Autophagy and Inhibits mTORC1 Signaling and Intracellular Proliferation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis [PDF]
Tuberculosis, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in the world today. M. tuberculosis hijacks the phagosome-lysosome trafficking pathway to escape clearance from infected macrophages.

The Concise Guide to PHARMACOLOGY 2025/26: Enzymes
The Concise Guide to Pharmacology 2025/26 marks the seventh edition in this series of biennial publications in the British Journal of Pharmacology. Presented in landscape format, the guide provides a comparative overview of the pharmacology of drug target families. The concise nature of the Concise Guide refers to the style of presentation, being clear,

Here, our novel model that integrates metabolism with motility dynamics reveals that microalgae shift bacterial movement toward Lévy flight patterns, enhancing encounter rates and self‐aggregation. This microecological manipulation reduces energy costs, strengthens functions such as pollutant removal and system stability.

Liver molecular networks associated with drinking behavior in nonhuman primates
We identified hepatic molecular networks that differed between light drinkers (LD) and very heavy drinkers (VHD) before they were exposed to alcohol, as well as epigenetic differences between LD and VHD in response to the same amount of alcohol.

A series of bio‐inspired quinoline‐based covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with varying substituents (‐R) are synthesized via multi‐component reactions. These substituents demonstrated a pronounced structure‐property relationship between their electronic effects (Hammett parameter, σp) and the photocatalytic H₂O₂ production rate, as well as the ...
