Adsorption and desorption of arsenic on an oxisol and its constituents
Water Research, 2004The present work investigates the adsorption and mobility (desorption) of As(III) and As(V) on an oxisol, and its main mineral constituents, as part of a broader project aimed at selecting a soil liner to be used in tailings dams at a sulfidic gold ore plant.

Fate and distribution of 14C-atrazine in a tropical oxisol
Chemosphere, 2000The herbicide atrazine is the most commonly detected pesticide in groundwater world-wide. A new microcosm test-system was used to determine the fate of 14C-atrazine in a Brazilian oxisol. 14C Ring-labelled atrazine was applied in a mixture with the commercial product Gesaprim 500 (Novartis) at a rate of 3 kg ha-1.

Effect of selenium and soil pH on cadmium phytoextraction by Urochloa decumbens grown in Oxisol.
Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2023It has been speculated that selenium (Se) supply can affect cadmium (Cd) 'availability' and increase the Cd tolerance of plants used for phytoextraction, in a pH-dependent process.
