Synthesis of Microbial‐Derived Octadecanoids
Lipids, EarlyView.C18‐carbon containing dietary polyunsaturated fatty acids (e.g., linoleic acid, α‐linolenic acid, and γ‐linolenic acid) are metabolized by bacteria in the gut into oxygenated lipid mediators termed octadecanoids. To study the biological function of these compounds, we report here the chemical synthesis of multiple octadecanoids.

Materials and Corrosion, EarlyView.Climate‐neutral green hydrogen is produced via water electrolysis using renewable energy. This study explores using cold gas spraying to apply titanium coatings on steel bipolar plates for proton exchange membrane water electrolyzers. The coating shows effective corrosion protection, presenting a promising solution for future designs.

Pest Management Science, EarlyView.The acyclic mucobromic acid, activated by (1S)‐(+)‐10‐camphorsulfonic acid, afforded the chiral compound 1b, precursor for aza‐Michael addition/elimination on the butenolide yielding tetronamides 2b‐7b. Their relative SRSR configuration was confirmed by the spectrometric methods, DFT calculation and statistical methods.
