Vanadium Cation Exchange‐Driven Reconstruction of MOF‐Derived Cobalt Hydroxide Electrodes for Electrocatalysis and Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A room‐temperature vanadium cation exchange strategy is developed to achieve simultaneous structural reconstruction and electronic/defect modulation of ZIF‐67 on nickel foam. The resulting mesoporous V20–Co(OH)2 electrode exhibits superior OER activity with low overpotentials and enhanced lattice oxygen participation.

Towards a two-dimensional laser induced breakdown spectroscopy mapping of liquefied petroleum gas and electrolytic oxy-hydrogen flames

open access: yesSpectrochimica Acta Part B: Atomic Spectroscopy, 2013
AbstractTwo-dimensional mapping of the laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) signal of chemical species information in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and electrolytic oxy-hydrogen (EOH) flames was performed with in situ flame diagnostics. Base LIBS signals averaged from measurements at wavelengths of 320nm to 350nm describe the density information

Water, Alcohols, Amines, and Amides as Formal Hydrogen‐Atom‐Transfer Reagents Through Activation With Redox‐Active Lewis Acids

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Protic molecules containing strong O─H or N─H bonds typically resist hydrogen‐atom abstraction because of the high reactivity of the resulting heteroatom‐centered radicals. However, association of the protic molecules with redox‐active Lewis acids can provide powerful hydrogen‐atom donors or proton‐coupled‐electron‐transfer reagents.
