Oxyfluorfen bioavailability in Brazilian Savanna soils

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Tropical, 2022
Oxyfluorfen is a pre-emergent herbicide applied via soil; however, the soil attributes have not been considered to predict the herbicide doses. This study aimed to evaluate the bioavailability of the oxyfluorfen herbicide in Brazilian Savanna soils with ...

Efeito residual de sulfentrazone, isoxaflutole e oxyfluorfen em três solos Residual effect of sulfentrazone, isoxaflutole and oxyfluorfen in three soils

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2010
As características físicas e químicas do solo, além das condições climáticas, influenciam o comportamento de herbicidas aplicados em pré-emergência das plantas daninhas. Dessa forma, objetivou-se avaliar o efeito residual de sulfentrazone, isoxaflutole e

Ornamental Plant and Weed Response to Oxyfluorfen Plus Prodiamine

open access: yesHortTechnology
Ornamental plant and weed response to oxyfluorfen + prodiamine herbicide was evaluated in Connecticut and Tennessee, USA, in 2017 and 2018. Preemergence application of oxyfluorfen + prodiamine was made at 0 lb/acre, 2 + 0.75 lb/acre, 4 + 1.5 lb/acre, and

Design and application of polyurea microcapsules containing herbicide (oxyfluorfen) [PDF]

open access: yesDesigned Monomers and Polymers, 2020
Polyurea, a controlled release material, has been widely applied in agricultural fields due to high thermal stability and low cost. In this article oxyfluorfen polyurea microcapsules suspension was successfully prepared by interfacial polymerization using diisocyanate and polyamines such as Ethylenediamine, Hexamethylenediamine, Diethylenetriamine in ...

Bark morphological and chemical features are differentially correlated with disease resistance and yield in hybrid poplar taxa

open access: yesGCB Bioenergy, Volume 15, Issue 9, Page 1140-1153, September 2023., 2023
Bark % and disease trees among and between the genotypes of four hybrid poplar taxa. After two growing seasons, only P. deltoides × P. deltoides (DD) genotypes showed disease resistance (no disease detected) and developed thicker bark that was chemically distinct from the other genotypes. All the other genotypes, show incidence of disease.

Exposures to pesticides and risk of cancer: Evaluation of recent epidemiological evidence in humans and paths forward

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 152, Issue 5, Page 879-912, 1 March 2023., 2023
Abstract Knowledge of the role in cancer etiology of environmental exposures as pesticides is a prerequisite for primary prevention. We review 63 epidemiological studies on exposure to pesticides and cancer risk in humans published from 2017 to 2021, with emphasis on new findings, methodological approaches, and gaps in the existing literature.

Effect of Pesticides on Peroxisome Proliferator‐Activated Receptors (PPARs) and Their Association with Obesity and Diabetes

open access: yesPPAR Research, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
Obesity and diabetes mellitus are considered the most important diseases of the XXI century. Recently, many epidemiological studies have linked exposure to pesticides to the development of obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus. The role of pesticides and their possible influence on the development of these diseases was investigated by examining the ...

MOVEMENT OF OXYFLUORFEN IN CONTAINER NURSERIES [PDF]

open access: yesHortScience, 1992
Little information is available on herbicide movement in soilless container media and subsequent movement in container leachate and container bed runoff. The objective of this study was to evaluate oxyfluorfen movement in irrigation water following application to container grown nursery crops in a commercial nursery. Oxyfluorfen levels in the container

Assessment of oxyfluorfen‐tolerant rice systems and implications for rice‐weed management in California1

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 78, Issue 11, Page 4905-4912, November 2022., 2022
Oxyfluorfen‐tolerant rice systems were demonstrated to be a viable option for managing problematic weeds including Oryza sativa spontanea in California rice cropping systems. Abstract BACKGROUND Weeds are a significant barrier to rice production in California, exacerbated by lack of chemical control options and herbicide‐resistance in persistent ...
