Photochemical behaviour of oxyfluorfen: a diphenyl-ether herbicide

open access: yesJournal of Photochemistry and Photobiology A: Chemistry, 1999
Abstract The photochemical behaviour in different solvents of the herbicide oxyfluorfen [2-chloro-1-(3-ethoxy-4-nitrophenoxy)-4-(trifluoromethyl) benzene (CAS RN 42874–03–3)] was studied. Photochemical reactions were carried out by using a high pressure mercury arc and a solar simulator.

Determination of Oxyfluorfen in Pesticide Formulations by Liquid Chromatography

open access: yesJournal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL, 1993
Abstract A normal-phase liquid chromatographic method was developed to determine oxyfluorfen, a herbicide, in pesticide formulations. Technical and liquid formulations were dissolved in 10% water and 90% tetrahydrofuran. A 5 μL aliquot was injected into a Phenomenex Spherex amino column and monitored at 240 nm.

Evaluation of Oxyfluorfen Formulations for Cabbage Weed Control

open access: yesJournal of the American Society for Horticultural Science, 1984
Abstract Oxyfluorfen exhibited intraspecific selectivity among cabbage ( Brassica oleracea L. var capitata) cultivars. The wettable powder (WP) and granular (G) formulations were less toxic to cabbage plants than the emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulation when applied at ...

Oxyfluorfen use in combination with clomazone or quinclorac

open access: yesWeed Technology
Abstract Oxyfluorfen is a herbicide that inhibits protoporphyrinogen IX oxidase and has shown significant potential in its ability to control barnyardgrass. Oxyfluorfen is categorized as a Group 14 herbicide by the Herbicide Resistance Action Committee (HRAC)/Weed Science Society of America (WSSA).

Perturbations in the Photosynthetic Pigment Status Result in Photooxidation-Induced Crosstalk between Carotenoid and Porphyrin Biosynthetic Pathways

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2017
Possible crosstalk between the carotenoid and porphyrin biosynthetic pathways under photooxidative conditions was investigated by using their biosynthetic inhibitors, norflurazon (NF) and oxyfluorfen (OF).
